The problem
You built the plugin. Now your users want more.
Feature requests arrive as support tickets
Users email you, open GitHub issues, or leave one-star reviews. There's no structure. You have no idea which requests represent real demand.
You're managing a spreadsheet
If you're organised, you copy requests into a doc. If not, they get lost. Either way, nothing tells you which feature to build next.
Building updates takes days
Even once you know what to build, implementing it means hours of development. Most plugin makers delay updates because the cost is too high.
There's a better way.
The solution
A feedback system that lives inside your plugin.
When you build a plugin with BuildPlugins.ai, you can add a Feedback tab directly inside the WordPress admin area. Your users — site admins, store owners, developers — can submit ideas, vote on existing requests, and see what you have planned. You control everything. Nothing goes public without your approval.
Inside WordPress. No external tool needed.
The feedback tab appears in your plugin's admin menu. Users stay in WordPress. No Canny account, no external link, no context switching.
You approve everything
Every submission requires your approval before it's visible to other users. Spam, duplicates, and off-topic requests never reach the vote board.
The tool that actually builds it
When votes hit your threshold, you see an estimate and approve the build. BuildPlugins.ai generates the update. No developer needed.
How it works
From idea to shipped update — without leaving WordPress.
- 01
Enable feedback when you build or upload
Turn on the feedback tab in the scope screen for new builds, or upload an existing plugin ZIP on our site and choose the feedback install flow. We add the tab for you — no embed key or PHP class to copy into WordPress.
- 02
Users submit ideas inside WP admin
Your plugin users click the Suggest & Vote tab and describe what they want. They can also vote on existing ideas. One vote per site — no manipulation.
- 03
You approve before anything goes public
You get an email for each submission. One click opens a preview. Approve to add it to the vote board. Decline privately. Spam is filtered automatically before it ever reaches you.
- 04
Votes accumulate. You get notified.
Set your threshold — 5 votes, 10, whatever fits your user base. When a feature hits it, you get a notification with the vote count and score.
- 05
See the estimate before you commit
Click Estimate & Review. Our AI analyses the request against your existing plugin spec and shows you exactly what will change, what it will cost in build credits, and whether it requires a full or partial rebuild.
- 06
One click. New version shipped.
Approve the build. BuildPlugins.ai generates the update, runs security and QA checks, and delivers a new ZIP with an incremented version number. Voters who gave their email get notified: their idea was built.

Common questions.
- Does my plugin need to be built with BuildPlugins.ai to use the feedback system?
- No. You can either build a new plugin with the feedback tab included or upload an existing plugin ZIP and have us add it for you. There is no embed key or PHP class to install by hand.
- Do my users need a BuildPlugins.ai account to submit feedback?
- No. The feedback tab works like a native WordPress form. Your users type their idea and submit. Nothing external. No account, no login, no third-party tracking.
- What stops users from submitting spam or irrelevant requests?
- Three layers: automatic spam filtering runs before the submission even reaches you. Then you approve every submission before it goes public. You can also add domain-level block rules for persistent problem sources.
- Can I vote with multiple accounts?
- No. Votes are deduplicated by site domain — one vote per WordPress install. IP address is recorded as a fraud signal but is not the primary gate, so shared hosting and VPNs do not cause false blocks.
- What happens when a feature request hits the vote threshold?
- You get a notification (email + dashboard). You click "Estimate & Review" to see what exactly will be built, how many build credits it will use, and whether it requires a full rebuild or a smaller update. You approve. We build.
- What if I approve a build and it fails?
- Your build credits are refunded automatically. The feature request returns to "approved for build" status so you can retry from the dashboard.
- Do I need to be technical to use the feedback system?
- No. You approve or decline submissions. You set a vote threshold. You click Approve & Build. That is the entire workflow for a non-technical plugin maker.
- How is this different from leaving a Google Form link in my plugin?
- A Google Form gives you a spreadsheet. This gives you a prioritised roadmap with vote counts, a one-click build path, and automatic version management. The form also lives outside WordPress. This lives inside your plugin.
